That I’m lucky in life goes without saying. I live in the best country in the world, I have a loving family, a wonderful husband, a roof over my head and food in my fridge. Yep, I won the life lottery, and for that, I’m grateful every single day. When it comes to “luck” in my career, though, I feel a bit differently. I’ve had many successes and failures, like anyone, but to be honest, I’m not sure what luck has had to do with any of it. Sure, I’m lucky to have had many supportive people in my working life. I wouldn’t be running my own business if it wasn’t for my amazing business partner and the many mentors I’ve had along the way. But to say that it was luck that got me there is not entirely correct.
